Dear Alberto;

Thank you for the reply and the suggestions. It seems that when the factors
are specified for particular traits as I did, the data will not be read
properly. I tried to define the number of levels for each factor but I still
run into the same problem. The error massage I get is shown below:

Invalid definition for model term at(Trait,1)

         1 is outside [0, 2]

 Fault 0 Error reading model factor list

  Last line read was: MS1 MS2 Trait at(Trait,1).YR1 at(Trait,2).YR2 !r

Are there other qualifiers that I am missing.
