ASReml-R fixed effect input length restriction

Hi,

I have identified significant single markers and epistatic interactions in a first step and now want to test them all together in a final model. However, I always get the error message: "unexpected end of input". This seems to be due to the input for fixed effects in ASReml-R being limited to about 550 characters because when I shorten the marker names, more effects are considered in the model, but still not all of them.
Is this correct and is there a way around this or has this been changed in the new ASReml-R version?
