Rohullah,

The main challenge will be how clever you are with data management and
input file preparation. Once you understand your model, how to set it up
and how ASREML expects your data you will find that the software can
handle a lot. One million animals in the pedigree will be a challenge
for any genetic evaluation however your limitation will not the
software but your hardware.

Cheers

Subject: Is ASReml suitable?

Dears,

I've a query about capability of ASReml.

Is it efficiently suitable as genetic analysis software for a national
dairy evaluation center which deals with large data and pedigree(one
million animals) files and more complicated models such as random
regression model.

Great Thanks,

Rohullah
