Dear Bruce,
re:
Hi,
Thanks for the notice.
Is there any change in the number of variance components that can be
estimated?
*** It is set at a max of 1500 in ASReml 1.62
Many more than that is not reasonable with the current structure.
I would like to analyze microarray data with some 5,000 to 15,000 variance
components (i.e., one per gene) plus associated covariance components.
(Actually
this could be reduced to 500 to 1,000 genes as a lower limit.) Memory and
speed
are not the issue anymore.
Also, will there be a 64-bit version for Linux?
*** There have been several requests for such and it is likely to happen
in the new year.
Regards
Bruce
Best wishes in the Name of Christ Jesus,
the Saviour of all who believe.
