Dear James,
Indeed your problem is much bigger than anything I've successfully run
in ASREML. If you reduce down to 100,000 animals you may have
a chance. I have done a job with 50,000 animals.
I presume you have used the -S9 command line option
will will attempt to acquire about 640Mbyte work space - if your
machine has that much (including SWAP) but noone else
will be able to do anything on that machine.
