Dear Sonal,

If we assume 
  the sire variance component represents 0.25 additive genetic variance
  the dam variance component represents 0.25 additive genetic variance
                                  plus maternal variance
  Then  genetic variance  =  4 * sire
        maternal             dam - sire
        phenotypic           sire + dam + Residual
        
so pin file should be

F direct 1*4.              # becomes component 4
F maternal  1*-1. + 2      # becomes component 5
F Phen   1 + 2 + 3         # becomes component 6

H herit  4 6
