Re: ASREML with Win2000

Dear Patrik,

Others may have experience. I still use Windows 95 and prefer
to run ASREML from an MSDOS box.

What you describe is what happens if you run ASREML from Explorer
with no arguments. Maybe I should update it so that what appears
on the screen remains until it is read.

If this is the problem, try running it with the -m option.
The command to execute the example distributed with ASREML is

c:\ASREML\ASREML.EXE SHF

In menu mode

c:\ASREML\ASREML.EXE -m SHF

There are other options as well.

If you find what is in section 1.4.1 of the manual is inadequate for
Windows 2000, and you do get it working, I would appreciate
feedback on what you needed to do.

Arthur

ASREML.exe file I get a window that very fast disapears. Are there any known
problems running ASREML under Win2000 or is there something that I might have
forgotten?
