Dear ASREML users
I have just had an experience that I thought I might share with you. I was
trying to run an analysis with 8 digit ids and a comma separated value
data and pedigree file. The only way the analysis could be run was to
shorten the ids (to a maximum of 4 digits) and to make the data (and
pedigree file) into a tab delimited text file. Nothing else was changed.
The analyis had previously been run successfully with the 8 digit ids and
csv files as a family model (ie, not a genetic analysis). Is there any
other way of getting around this problem? Has anyone else struck the same
thing?
Regards
Sue Jarvis
