ASreml stopping prior to interation

Hi Folks

I am trying to get a model going with an EXPH structure in the residual.
My data is in the long form (i.e. 7 ages within 1040 records). I get a
AR1H model working fine.

However when I try a EXPH model:

ASreml seems to stop after

Initial updates will be shrunk by factor 0.158

Which is in the *.asr file
