1) although you assert and affirm there are 43592 COWS, ASReml found
43952 unique ID's. It looks to me as if you misstyped the number.
But that will not cause a problem in the running.

2) The output contains the query.
Structure for Sire.leg(DIM,2) has 483027 levels defined

Are you sure the G structure matches it? 3 x161009

The G structure for Sire.leg(DIM,2) should be declared as
Sire.leg 2
Sire 0 AINV
3 0 US !+6
0.0328252
-0.00346642 0.0425384
0.0 0.0 0.01

or else define the interaction as leg(DIM,2).Sire
3) Similarly for the next interaction.

4) It is likely this is the reason ASReml failed to order the equations
