Coding covariance

Dear all,

I would like to analyse data for pairs of individuals like Female Male LayingDate, and get the additive genetic covariance between males and females. I was told I could use the !{Female Male!} specification, but in the output there is no covariance. So I guess I need to describe the structure of the G matrix, but I'm not sure how to do that.

Could anyone help?

Many thanks in advance

All the best
