I just said that if there is concern about a lack of support for ASReml-S,
then you may like to consider ASReml-R. Both are written by David Butler
but ASReml-R has many more users. For example, I heavily use -R and so it
is likely that -R could be more robust.
We try to keep all platforms in sync as best as we can, but it is
impossible to guarantee bug free software. Real bugs are dealt with as
soon as these are identified but I think you would find that most queries
are not genuine bugs but more problems with model definition, syntax and
the like
