Dear AListair,

For a more complicated selection you would need to use transformations.

e.g.
  insert a new line before the data line
  FILTER !=gene !SET 0 0 0 1 1 1 1 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 !D0

I think this will work to select generations 4-8

In the curent beta version, there is an extended form of the !D
transformation
so you could use

 generation !D<3.5 !D>8.5

This avoids rewriting the data file.
