Dear ASReml Users,

You may be aware that the ASReml Discussion group previously hosted by
Andrew Swan of CSIRO
has been unhosted for some time. We thank Andrew for hosting it for
several years.

NSW Agriculture is now hosting the list and I have added names that were
passed on to me by Andrew.

However, our LISTSERV program required a FULL NAME (which seems in this
context to mean
two or more strings) but for some of you, I only had an email name or
student number. Consequently,
I made up a name for you so you could be added to the list and now invite
you to send me a proper
name if you are not happy, and I'll fix it.

You should already have received advice that you are on the list.
To request changes to your details, or arrange for others to be added,
send your request to me
[mailto:arthur.gilmour_at_agric.nsw.gov.au].

To send a message to the 300 or so members of the discussion group mailto:ASREML-L_at_agric.nsw.gov.au

In due course, I hope we can restore some of the old archives and start
archiving new messages but
one thing at a time.

At this time, we are working on the development of Release 2 of ASReml.
I'm hoping a beta release will
be available from the VSN website around the end of September.

In the meanwhile, I am happy to receive suggestions for consideration.

Best wishes in the Name of Christ Jesus,
the Saviour of all who believe.

Best wishes in the Name of Christ Jesus,
