Just to let you know I have put an updated ASREML onto the server.
Following some user requests, I have revamped the discussion of
.pin files in Chapt 5 - although it still needs another go -
and implemented an option of saying
{ 14:17 } / 4
as shorthand for
14 * .25 15* .25 16*.25 17 *.25
I have also revised chapter 1.
The other significant program change is that a pedigree with
genetic groups can now be used for REML estimation as well as for BLUP.
The problem was related to not properly accounting for degrees of freedom
(because the pedigree factor with pedigree groups is partly fixed.
Anyone just wanting to print off the revised sections of the manual can
email me and I'll send a .zip file containing the revised sections.
