Dear all
I have a field experiment that is designed as an RCBD,and has the
form:
20 columns

5-8 rows | Rep 2 |

Now upon inspection of the BLUPs for the rows in REP 1 I clearly have a
linear trend along the columns. That is BLups for Row 1: -20
Row 2 : -14
Row 3: -7
Row 4: -1
The breeder has an explanation for this.
In order to model this linear trend along the columns within Rep 1. How is
this done in ASREML. I assumed it was of the form:
Yield~ mu c(trt) rep|1\lin(column) (1)
