asreml; Memory allocation on an HP unix machine

Dear all,

I am having difficulties allocating more than 128 MB memory to run my asreml
jobs on an HP 9000 L-class machine running HP-UX version 11. I keep getting
asreml "fault 6 Too Big, use -s option" for a simple bivariate analyses with
about 8000 animals in my pedigree. I am running a sire model. If I use the
-s5 or higher option, the system is not able to allocate so much memory. I
can complete a univariate analysis with the same data and pedigree but not
the bivariate.

Our server has two processors with a combined ram of about 2GB. I am the
only one running any significant job on it at the moment.

Does any one know what parameters I need to change or how to get round this
problem?

Much thanks
