Dear Roger,
Since I upgraded my fortran compiler on Solaris, the solaris version
has required solaris 2.6 or higher to run.
Thye new version supports HUGE files (not that ASREML needs them)
but Solaris 2.5.1 does not. I have not been able to
find a work around so the version you have will not
run on Solaris 2.5.1.

I hope to update ASREML tomorrow and produce a Solaris 2.5.1 version
from an old Sun here but that will be the last one.

Alternatively, on the website in aar/robin/asreml.Z is a solaris 2.5.1
execuatable without graphics
