It probably means that ASREML has tried to perform an invalid operation
or access memory outside of what is allowed. It is probably data dependent
[i.e. depends on the particular characteristics of your job] but
could be a simple coding error or failure to claim enough
memory for the job [ -s command line option].
With a few more details, I could be more helpful.
Your system: Windows 95, Solaris, Linux - g77 ???
How recent is your version of ASREML
How big is the job?
Are you a novice or experienced?
Is the job complicated?
